Advance Laparoscopic Surgery

In an advanced laparoscopic surgical procedure, an incision is made in the abdominal area. The incision is several inches long, but in most cases, it is about ½ inch. In medical terms, it is also known as minimally invasive surgery. During surgery, the surgeon uses laparoscopy to diagnose/treat the problem. Laparoscopy involves a long, thin tube that is inserted into the abdomen after the incision is made. This device has a camera that allows the surgeon easy access to the inside of the abdomen. Thanks to this device, the pelvic organ and abdomen are clearly visible. If there is a problem, an instrument and a laparoscope may be inserted into the abdomen, called single-site laparoscopy.
